Team München – Athletic Diversity
Hi! We are Team München, your QUEER sportsclub in the capital of Bavaria.
Team Munich is the biggest queer sports club in Bavaria with currently over 800 members. Since its foundation, many people have been trying their best to establish the club in the city of Munich and in the nationwide LGBTIQ+ community every day.
WE WANT TO OFFER QUEER PEOPLE & ALLIES A SAFE SPACE TO PLAY SPORTS.
We currently offer recreational sports in more than 19 different disciplines. There are also some cooperations with other queer clubs in Munich. In football, table tennis, badminton, handball, rugby and volleyball, the athletes participate in the Bavarian leagues with great enthusiasm and success.
OUR SLOGAN IS: TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER!
As a queer club, we naturally realise our political mission. We see ourselves as a community of solidarity for tolerance, acceptance and equality. We want to enable individual sporting experiences in a space free of discrimination. Our focus is on the individual in their own identity and not on gender. All people are welcome in our club, because together we are stronger!
TEAM MUNICH IS COMMITTED TO MORE VISIBILITY AND ACCEPTANCE
In addition to sporting activities, the club is present at numerous community events in Munich, Germany and even worldwide. Here are some examples:
- Our Summer Sport Festival (multi-sport tournament)
- Climbing in cooperation with the GOC
- Run for life
- Our own truck at the CSD
- Information booth at various street festivals
- Member club in the existing int. umbrella organisations like EGLSF (European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation) and FGG (gaygames)
