Time to celebrate

At the beginning of February, Team Munich board members, members and supporters also met at the LeZ, to get to know each other, chat and enjoy a few drinks. The next joint Munich team get-together is on 7 March from 7 p.m.. We would be delighted to see even more members and friends at LeZ, Müllerstr. 26. Men are also welcome at LeZ. (Photo below: Table tennis team behind the bar at LeZ)

II. Street Boys

The Munich Streetboys team still seemed to be suffering from hibernation at the start of the second half of the season against FC Wacker Munich III. The Streetboys were crushed by Sendling with a well-deserved 0-7 defeat. But this coming Sunday, the team is determined to be focused and alert as they seek their first victory of 2025 and are looking forward to plenty of support: Sunday, 16 March 2025, 2:45 p.m. at Centro Argentino.

III. Handball

Three weeks, three games: The last few weekends have been an intense time for the handball players. But there was also time for celebration. On 1 February, we met for a team evening at the SEVEN Bar in Harras. We had a lovely evening with delicious food and good drinks.

But this day wasn't just about celebrating; there was also a handball match to play beforehand. We had an away game against SV München Laim II. Unfortunately, we suffered a heavy defeat, losing 35:18, but our two goalkeepers prevented an even worse result with some great saves.

A week later, we played our home game against TSV Forstenried II. We got off to a strong start and led 12–7 at half-time. And in the end, we managed to secure a 25–21 victory. Our first victory in 2025! (Photo above)

Unfortunately, we were unable to continue this positive trend in the following week. Although everything was still possible at half-time in the away game against Blumenau, with the score at 14:11, we ultimately had to admit defeat with a final score of 28:21.

We are currently looking for new players and a new coach.. For more information about us, training times, halls and more, please visit our website. www.teammuenchen.de/handball.

IV. Badminton

Our two teams were also extremely successful in February!

Munich Team I won 8-0 against TSV Mühldorf and 7-1 against TuS Geretsried III. This puts the team at the top of the South-East District League table with 24 points, making them uncatchable, and they have already secured the won the championship and secured promotion to the district premier league! Congratulations on this outstanding team performance!

Also Munich II team was once again very successful: 8:0 against TSV Schongau and 7:1 against TuS Geretsried IV was the final score at the end of the match day. This puts the team currently on 21:3 points, just one point behind the leaders TSV Neubiberg-Ottobrunn IV. Second place the table.

Currently No guest training sessions and no new members Possible in badminton:

Members of the badminton section have noticed that it is currently extremely crowded at times, as there are often significantly more players coming to training than there are courts available to play on. For this reason, the section management has decided not to allow guest and trial training sessions until further notice, nor to accept any new members. We will reconsider this decision once the situation has eased, at the earliest in April. This decision was not an easy one for us, but we ask for your understanding because we believe it is in the best interests of the division's members.

On Saturday, 5 April, finds the Badminton club championship from 1 p.m. This year, a doubles tournament will be played. Please send registrations to badminton@teammuenchen.de

V. Men's Volleyball

Team Munich is just a hair's breadth away from promotion: On the last match day in the Bavarian Verbandsliga in mid-February, Team Munich prevailed in a thrilling 5-set match against SF Harteck II with a score of 3:2 (25:11, 21:25, 25:15, 20:25, 15:13). In the second match against MTV Munich IV, our team showed nerves of steel and won 3:0 (25:16, 25:23, 26:24).

[BEZ_MANDANT]

The season finale takes place on 15 March from 12 noon With 15 wins in 16 games, Team Munich remains firmly in first place in the table and aims to secure promotion to the district league on the final match day!

We're keeping our fingers crossed!
