III. What's new in badminton
Successful end to the badminton season for the amateur league team too Following our teams' championship and promotion in the district league and district class A, the amateur league team made the season perfect: after a 6-0 win against MTV Munich, they can no longer be knocked off first place and thus master in the Munich Central/East amateur league! Congratulations once again to all three teams on this outstanding season. An additional team is expected to be registered in District League B next season. Review of the division meeting At the division meeting, which was attended by 28 members this year, the following was decided: Christian, Mai, Putut, Sybille and Zia elected to the division management team. Christian is the division manager and Mai is his deputy. Putut takes on the role of sports director and organises league operations, Sybille is responsible for social media and Zia ensures that normal training operations run smoothly. Thank you for your trust! Janet has left the division management and was given a small gift as a farewell present. Following the suspension of guest and trial training sessions and new admissions in recent months, there has been discussion about how to deal with the continuing high number of enquiries in the future. The division management will endeavour to find a good balance so that, on the one hand, there are no long waiting times for training and, on the other hand, the admission of new members is possible again. The aim is to keep the number of members roughly stable in the long term. One-off guest training sessions (e.g. if someone from the division brings a visitor) should therefore be possible again on an occasional basis after the Easter holidays, and trial training sessions for potential new members should also be allowed again in a very limited way after the Easter holidays. In EVERY single case, the division management MUST be consulted before a guest or trial training session to determine whether someone can come, so that the training sessions do not become too full again!
