Training camps

Our training camp in Inzell has become something of a tradition.

On the terrain The Bavarian State Sports Association offers everything you need for a successful training weekend: excellent sports facilities, on-site accommodation and full board. And all this within easy reach of Munich and with a wonderful view of the mountains.

6th Table Tennis Training Camp – Inzell 2016

At the end of April this year, it was time once again to head to Inzell, to the idyllically located BLSV sports camp, with views of the nearby mountains.

This view makes relaxing between training sessions much more enjoyable.

It kicked off on Friday evening with the first of six training sessions. The main focus of the table tennis training camp was on improving serves and topspin.

„Thin meeting“ of the ball was the magic word. But of course, fun and games should not be neglected either.

To this end, coach Rainer once again had numerous exercises and game formats up his sleeve.

Whether it's coordination ladders, ball guessing, high nets, topspin wheels, return boards or footwork chess, all these elements help to make training sessions entertaining.

This year, the group was (unfortunately) quite small, but this had the advantage of allowing for more intensive individual coaching. The concentrated number of training sessions throughout the weekend contributed once again this year to a noticeable improvement in all participants. Now it is time to integrate this into weekly training and build on it further.

5th Table Tennis Training Camp 2015 – Sports Camp in Inzell

8 May – 10 May

After a year's break, it was time once again for the fifth training camp in Inzell. With perfect training conditions, six training sessions were on the agenda.

The content consisted of a series of methodical exercises on undercut and side cut serves, as well as forehand topspin.

Now it's time to incorporate these approaches into training...

Next year, it will surely be „Off to Inzell“ again.

4th Table Tennis Training Camp 2013 – Sports Camp in Inzell

26th to 28th April 2013

For the fourth time, the table tennis department held its training camp in Inzell. From Friday to Sunday, a total of five training sessions were on the agenda, during which everything revolved around the ball in the truest sense of the word. However, despite all the effort, the focus was on having fun. The 11-member team was able to recharge their batteries with food and later with a lively atmosphere in the party cellar.

The fifth training camp may soon follow...

3rd Table Tennis Training Camp 2012 – Table tennis players gathered in Inzell

Last Friday, 14 players from the table tennis department set off for their third training weekend in Inzell.

From Friday to Sunday afternoon, there was a lot of activity at the tables and many shirts got really wet, which was not only due to the somewhat mixed weather.

During the six training sessions, which focused on different areas, the emphasis was on having fun playing the game.

C-coach Rainer had come up with a varied programme for this. The technical training was also accompanied by the necessary theory about the celluloid ball. The spin and bounce behaviour of the balls, as well as serves, were clearly demonstrated and supported with videos before everyone was able to practise at the tables.

However, games and relays to improve reaction, coordination and endurance were also part of the training sessions.

Nevertheless, there was still enough time between training sessions to take care of physical well-being. There was even enough time for a coffee break with cake. During evening visits to the cellar bar, the theoretical topics were explored in greater depth and participants were able to relax after the strenuous training sessions.

Despite all the effort, it was great fun again and everyone agrees: „We'll be back...“.

2nd Training Camp in Inzell 2011 – Table tennis under the rainbow

The second PinkPongs table tennis training camp took place at the end of May.

After last year's very positive experience in terms of accommodation and catering, but also because everyone had so much fun, we decided to return to Inzell for our training camp.

Department head Dana was once again responsible for organisation and reservations, while Rainer, as a C-level coach, was in charge of planning the sporting activities and conducting the training sessions.

Idyllically situated, with a view of the mountains, Inzell once again offered ideal training conditions.

Six tables were available in the dedicated table tennis hall, allowing the 14-strong team to train very intensively.Ω

A total of five training sessions were held. Despite the intensive training, there was still enough time to take advantage of the camp's extended sports programme.

Thanks to last year's visit, finding the cellar bar was no problem, so the training day could be rounded off there and there was an opportunity to consolidate the day's training.

On Sunday after lunch, we headed back to Munich.

Dates for May have already been requested for next year, so nothing stands in the way of the next training camp...

1st Training Camp in Inzell

The PinkPongs recently held their first table tennis training camp in the club's 10-year history.

Department head Dana took on the role of organisation and booking, while Rainer was responsible for planning the sporting activities and running the training sessions.

The BLSV youth and leisure camp in Inzell was chosen as the training location. Idyllically situated with a view of the mountains, it offered ideal training conditions.

Six tables were available in the dedicated table tennis hall, allowing the 13-strong team to train very intensively.

After arriving on Friday afternoon, the first training session was held that same evening. A total of five training sessions were scheduled, rounded off by a visit to the cellar bar late in the evening to foster camaraderie and reinforce the techniques learned.

If desired, accuracy and target precision could then be refined during archery, which was led by a sports instructor at the camp.

On Sunday after lunch, we headed back to Munich.

According to feedback from all participants, it was a very successful premiere, which will certainly be repeated next year.
