VI. The Yoga Division has elected its division management, looking back and into the future

In the Division meeting on 29 November 2024 were conducted under the leadership of Dirk, Chairman of the Board of Team München e.V.., Maximilian as chairperson and Simone Re-elected as Deputy Chair of the Yoga Division.

Maximilian had previously reported on the development of the yoga division in 2024: both the number of division members (including those who list yoga as a secondary division) and the number of participants in yoga courses had increased significantly. It was not uncommon for 25 to 30 yogis and yoginis to attend both courses combined. This meant that the formation of 2 yoga classes confirmed as absolutely necessary. On the other hand, this also meant an increase in costs, so that the members of the yoga section present agreed to a Additional contribution of €20 per year, meaning that the total annual membership fee was €120.

Maximilian mentioned the activities of the yoga division board, including Website redesign the yoga division and the yoga flyer. He expressed his special thanks to Simone for her tremendous support and excellent cooperation. He also emphasised the contribution of yoga members on the association's board on the topic of „Sports for seniors“The yoga division can point to its successful cooperation with ASZ Isarvorstadt and the „Yoga 55+“ courses offered in recent years.

As activities of members in the yoga division that are organised outside of yoga, Maximilian mentioned, among other things, the cooperation between the yoga division and the GOC – Gay Outdoor Club –, the queer section of the German Alpine Club. My yoga friend Jutta, thankfully, has several Mountain hikes organises this and will continue to offer it in 2025.

Maximilian mentioned several future plans for the yoga division, including promoting it on social media platforms, having yoga enthusiasts participate in bar service at the SUB and LeZ, and participating in street festivals and CSD 2025.

VIII. Handball Year in Review

An eventful year for Team Munich's handball players is coming to an end.

2024 was the year we hosted the LGBTQ+ Euro Handball Championship. Preparations for this began at the start of the year.

But of course there were also lots of exciting games on the side. The Season 23/24 was with a fifth place in the table, our previous most successful season ever. With highlights such as the victory against the runners-up Schwabing 2, we demonstrated our potential and rounded off the season in style with a 30:28 away win against Milbertshofen 3.

During the off-season, our coach Thomas resigned and was succeeded by Birte, who coached us for the rest of the year.

On 6 April, we met for a team evening at the restaurant and sponsor München72 at Holzstraße 16. Together, we toasted the past season and celebrated our record placement. In June, we had another wonderful closing party at the restaurant in our hall, and of course we were also represented at the CSD.

Then came the big highlight: from 14 to 17 August, one of the largest LGBTQ+ individual sports tournaments of the past 20 years took place in Munich: the Euro Handball Championships – with Team Munich as host. Over 230 participants with teams from Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Hungary and Germany took part. A total of 36 volunteers and the handball division's organising team did a great job, and the tournament was a huge success! Unfortunately, we were unable to win the title, with the French team Outsiderosaurus Rex winning the tournament.

The new season began at the end of the year, featuring many exciting matches – despite a team weakened by numerous injuries. A hard-fought draw in October against SV München Laim II, a thrilling match against TSV Milbertshofen III that also ended in a draw, and, to top it all off, a 25:22 home win against HSG B-one II were among the highlights. season highlights the current 24/25 season.

We are already looking forward to the next matches, in which we want to start the new year with more points. We are also looking forward to the Euro Handball Pride Championships 2025, which this year in Lyon will take place as part of the Eurogames.
